Place of origin

Leonard Potter (1903-62) is best known as a designer of stained glass, but for a period in the 1920s/30s, he turned to printmaking and became an accomplished maker of colour lino-cuts. He exhibited on several occasions in the 1930s with the Ward Gallery, London, alongside better known names such as Claude Flight and Lill Tschudi. Although Potter’s career as a printmaker is not well documented, it is clear that he was inventive and original.
