Physical description
Print of Sarah Siddons (1755-1831) in the title role of Jane Shore. The print features an image of Siddons as she appeared in Act V, Scene II. It is a full length image of Siddons, who is dressed in a long dress with a full skirt and a close fitting bodice with long, tight sleeves. She is standing with her right hand outstretched towards a closed door and the walls of a stone building and archway are visible behind her. A caption below the image reads, 'Alas! I faint, my spirits fail at once_this is the door of my Alicia'.
