The print features a three-quarter length image of Murray who is shown in a seated position and with his gaze directed away from the viewer. He is wearing a dark coat and wide tie over a pale waistcoat. An eyeglass is suspended from a chain hanging round his neck, and a watch chain is visible at the front of his waistcoat.
