Physical description
Print showing the actress Tryphosa Jane Wallis (1774-1848), 1795. The print features a three quarter length, profile portrait of Wallis. Her dress has full sleeves and she wears lace edged fichu is crossed over her chest with a round brooch pinned to the centre front. Her hair is dressed in soft curls and ringlets and gathered with a narrow band above her forehead.
