Seal Impression


Indus Valley Seal from Mohenjo-daro, c.2500-2000 B.C. Carved in intaglio there is the figure of what has been taken to be the urus ox shown with only one horn as it might be seen in profile. Above this there are four letters of the Indus script. On the reverse there is a boss, pierced laterally with a hole to take a cord.
