Photograph by Messrs. Mawe & Co., Objects in the South Kensington Museum, captioned 'One leaf of a Door, made up of panles from Lajin's pulpit in the mosque of Ibn Tulun at Cairo. Wood modern neading of light colour filled with the original arabesque panels of dark wood carved in double relief, with ebony border. Small panels above and below carved with arabesque within geometrical border. From Cairo. Saracenic. Q.D. 1296. H. 8 ft. 8.5 in. W. 3 ft. 4.5 in.
