  • KHADI SARI Despite its populist association, khadi also features in luxury garments. Such pieces are expensive and customers for designs with little surface embellishment are few. Khadi saris tend to be bought by connoisseurs who appreciate the skill and cost of labour. Taanbaan, the Delhi-based company who made this recent example, has a reputation for fine hand-spun, hand-woven saris.
