Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton, CBE (14 January 1904 – 18 January 1980) was an English fashion, portrait and war photographer, diarist, painter, interior designer and an Academy Award-winning stage and costume designer for films and the theatre.

Physical description

Pen and ink line drawn sketch showing a series of sketches of male figures. The figures are dressed in doublet and hose, and the sketches also show designs for cloaks. The top edge of the paper is perforated as if torn from a sketchbook.
