East London Printmakers (ELP) is an independent collective established in 1998 and based in Hackney. It offers its members studio space, access to equipment, professional development and exhibiting opportunities and runs courses and workshops in printmaking for the public.
The ELP Box is an annual collaboration between ELP artists to publish a boxed set of small prints (30 x 30cm) in an edition of 40 to serve as an archive of members’ work and to help promote the group’s activities. Money raised from the sale of the prints is used to fund artists’ professional development and a few sets from each edition are presented to selected public collections and archives.
