The Great South Coast Bank Holiday Pop Festivity (1968-1970), the first Isle of Wight festival, was originally organised by locals to raise money for a swimming pool. In 2002 the festival was re-launched as the Isle of Wight Festival. This poster is from the 2004 festival, at which artistes including David Bowie and The Who performed.
