The artist Kate Hastings drew a series of portraits of Terry and her family, many of which are now part of the National Trust Collection and held at Terry's former home, Smallhythe Place, Kent.

Red chalk drawing, head and shoulders, of Ellen Terry as Ophelia, signed by the artist Kate Gardiner Hastings, lower right hand corner. It shows Terry positioned against a backdrop of leaves. Her hair is short and curled, she wears a plain dress with a crossover neckline, edged with fur.
