Object history
The objects in the photograph formed part of the collection of Emile Peyre (1824-1904), a notable Parisian collector of French Medieval and Renaissance artefacts. The cupboard door was bought from Peyre by the V&A (formerly the South Kensington Museum) in 1895, and the panel is now part of the collection of the National Museum of Ireland, Dublin (formerly the Museum of Science and Art).
