Photograph of an early 16th century French wooden canopy over an altar, painted in colours with the following five female saints: - St Mary Magdalene, St Catherine of Alexandria, St Aldegundis, St Margaret and St Barbara; over this in separate compartments are two kneeling angels. Above and below are bands of openwork Gothic tracery with shields. It was used for an altar set against one of the pillars in a French church.
