Leaflet

2007 (printed and published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

In August 2007, the campaign group Climate Change set up a Camp for Climate Action at Heathrow Airport. The camp was a mass gathering of environmental activists who opposed plans for the airport's extension. Protestors claimed that the growth of air travel was a major factor in greenhouse gas emmisions. Climate Change produced a witty series of leaflets and stickers advertising the camp and its aims. This leaflet mimicks a Royal Bank of Scotland credit card, on the reverse it provides information for protestors in the event that they get lost or arrested. Climate Camp was a major logistical operation and represented a new wave of climate action protest which was both large scale and organised.
