The architect Edwin Lutyens became friends with the garden designer Gertrude Jeckyll in 1889. Through the 1890s they worked together on a number of domestic projects. Lutyens would design the house and Jeckyll the garden, but frequent conversations ensured the two were always fully intergrated. This page [E.1:5-1991] sits in a sketchbook of designs for Munstead Corner, a new house and garden built for a client in Surrey.(2005)
