Set of Marbles

Marbles are one of the oldest known toys and are known to have been played with in pre-Christian Rome. It is a simple toy, but one that has stood the test of time, going in and out of fashion throughout the ages.

Originally made in the late 19th century, these marbles were found on the banks of the River Thames by a professional 'Mudlark'. This set comsists of 13 different coloured and sized marbles all but two made of glass.

A set of 13 different coloured and sized marbles, made in England in the late 19th century
Physical description
These 13 marbles are different coloured and different sizes. Most of them have a sctratched surface and has a swirl init. Some of them have been a bit damaged. Most of them are clear glass but two of them are not. some of them are dirty because they were found in the Thames.
