Design for title card which was printed in gold ink to be mounted on cover of The Impressions of Russian Ballet La Boutique fantasque.

The cover of the booklet was a pink enamel paper such as was found at the period on boxes for toys or dolls. The type-face on the paper label also evokes such packaging and is set in an oval supported by the two Can-can dancers.

La Boutique fantasque was premiered at the Alhambra Theatre London on 15 June 1915. The choreography was by Léonide Massine, the designs by André Derain and the music by Gioachino Rossini arranged by Ottorino Respighi.
