This delicate and lyrical summer kimono has a design of lilies growing under a maple tree which has been partly drawn directly onto the cloth. The fabric is ro, a type of silk gauze in which rows of plain weave alternate with one where adjacent warps cross over each other, ideally suited to Japan’s humid summer months.
