That Which Flourishes Remains

Screenprint
2014 (printed and published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Jealous Print Studio established a Graduate Prize in 2009. A prize is awarded to one MA Fine Art graduate from each of the eight major London colleges; The Royal Academy, The Royal College of Art, Goldsmith’s, Camberwell, Central St Martin’s, The Slade, Chelsea and Wimbledon. The winning graduates are awarded an all-expenses paid residency in their print studios. Guided by their studio team, each graduate creates a new limited edition print. The portfolio of each year’s graduate prints is then shown together in a group exhibition. Jealous is donating all the Graduate editions to the V&A print collection.

Olivia Kemp graduated from Wimbledon College of Art with an MA in Drawing. Her work has focused on the idea of nature gradually reasserting itself over the man-made world. This print (her first) is related to a pen and ink drawing of an abandoned property near her family home in Suffolk.
