Full length pen and ink caricature portrait of the actor/manager Lupino Lane (born Henry William George Lupino, 1892-1952) drawn by Tom Titt (1885-1956) 2nd October 1916.

Lupino Lane was part of a theatrical family and achieved success on both stage and screen. He began his career as a child performer, known as 'Little Nipper', and went on to performs in a wide range of music halls and theatres. He is perhaps best known for playing Bill Snibson in the 1937 play and 1939 film Me and My Girl,which popularised 'The Lambeth Walk'.

Tom Titt was the pseudonym of Jan Junosza de Rosciszewski whose caricatures, signed with his distinctive signature, regularly appeared in illustrated periodicals.
