In 2007 online gaming company Mind Candy set up virtual world Moshi Monsters. After tremendous success the company teamed up with Vivid to expand Moshi Monsters, creating toys and merchanise to supplement the online game.
This Moshlings Tree House, made in 2010, is a home for Moshlings. It has a working basket lift and comes with an exclusive Moshling called Roxy.

Physical description
The packaging of the Moshling Tree House consists of a cardboard box featuring photographs of Moshlings in the tree house, as well as cartoon images of Moshlings surrounding the house. Ont he back of the box there is an image of two children playing with the tree house. The toy itself takes the form of half a tree. There is space to place the Moshlings inside, and in the branches. The tree also features a working basket lift.

Moshi Monsters is a website created in 2007, in which users select a virtual pet to care for. The website has an online world to explore and allows users to play games in order to win 'Rox' (virtual currency).
Following its online success the company introduced physical toys and merchanise, such as this Tree House, which proved to be extremely popular.
In 2011 the Moshling Tree House was named as one of the Top 12 toys of the year by the Toy Retailers Association, and was given to the museum along with the other winners.
