Physical description
Full length pen and ink caricature style portrait of an unindentified actor. It shows a man in profile dressed in a short cape with a wired collar, a stiff white ruff, trunk hose and tights. A small bowler style hat is balanced on the top of his head. The image is captioned "Realizing the famous picture by H-g-th" and has been signed and dated J.L.Dale, '09' in the bottom right hand corner. The sketch is largely created in pen and ink with highlights in watercolour on the face and hands.
