Harrods is a high-end department store established in 1834. The store stocks own brand clothing as well as designer concessions. This Harrods coat is a good example of the ‘trickle down’ effect of couture clothing on high street offerings and shows the influence of Balenciaga’s voluminous designs of the late 1950s on tailoring in Britain.
