Brief description
"Bill Graham Presents the Steve Miller Band" psychedelic poster #243 by David Singer, USA, 1970
Physical description
Psychedelic poster advertising a concert for Country Joe and the Fish. The central image features a collage, made from different engraved elements, of a coastline with a lighthouse with rocky cliffs either side. The cliffs shelter a waterfall, over which there is a bridge. On one of the rocks is a baby in a cradle being watched by a crane, or similar bird. The scene is printed in blue on white, except for one element - on the top of the lighthouse is a large yellow and red flower, which dominates the image. The event details are printed in red, stylised letters, above and below the image in the poster's white border. The text reads, 'Bill Graham Presents in San Francisco, Steve Miller Band, Bo Diddley, Crow. Lights by Deadly Nightshade. July 16-17-18-19 Fillmore West'.
