Marks and inscriptions
  • This stone designed by a precious hand to denote the subjects contained in the book must now alas! be sacred to the memory of him who traced them and whose latest sketches will be found at the ned. HG: 1807. (Inscribed in ink on the frontispiece of the sketchbook. The inscription is probably by the artist's wife, née Harriet Lister.)
  • Views at Keswick & Ambleside done in the years 18005 & 1806 by Amos Green. (Inscribed on the mount.)
