These delicate earrings were made in Portugal in the first half of the 18th century to accompany a sequilé pendant. They would originally have had a hinged wire on the back, but this has been removed and replaced with a plain curved wire.

Physical description | Pair of gold pendent earrings set with diamonds in closed settings. Each earring consists of three openwork parts suspended vertically, with two additional drops at each side. The original wire was hinged to the base of the top part, but this has been replaced by a plain curved wire. |
