Physical description

Gold band ring with a large hollow spherical bezel. The hoop is made from a band of sheet gold, covered with a tight wire zigzag pattern, with a twisted wire rim at each side. There is a granule resting on a ring of twisted wire in the centre of the band opposite the bezel, and a small pyramid of granules on each shoulder. The bezel is made from a sphere of thin gold sheet covered on the front half with rings of wire, each of which holds a granule. The rings in the row next to the plain back of the sphere are pierced instead of holding granules.
