This pendant of a bird fighting a snake was included among a collection of Spanish amulets, but it is more likely to be a personal ornament probably with an allegorical meaning. It is not a traditional subject for Spanish amulets. It was originally described as 17th-century but may be later.

Copper-gilt pendant of a bird with a snake, Spain, 1600-1700 or 1800-1900.
Physical description
Copper-gilt pendant of a bird standing over a snake which is threatening the bird’s head. There are two rings attached to the bird, on its head and tail, which would have held the chains of the pendant.
