The white man is carrying supplies in a bindle over his shoulder and the Native American man holds his hand up to his own eyes to shield the sun, looking out into the distance beyond the viewer. On the back cover is a black and white drawing of a Native American man in profile, gesturing toward the group on the front cover. He has long hair, buckskin clothes, a long rifle at his side and a hat with a racoon tail.
