Print
1919 (printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Book jacket for 'Sunshine Stampede' by Dote Fulton depicting a young glamorous couple in front of a palm tree. He is wearing a pale suit and she stands slightly in front of him in a cream coloured, flowing gown, and cream hat with a large jaunty brim. On the spine is another drawing of the same couple kneeling in the sand on a beach. The man is still wearing a pale suit with his back to the viewer, but the woman is wearing a red swimming costume and gazes up at the man intently. They are seated under a large red and white striped parasol. The title of the book and the writer's name are printed in pink on the front cover and spine. The back cover is white with black text and advertises other books by the same publisher under the heading 'Table and Entertaining Books'. The inside front cover flap gives a summary of the story, 'a blazing picture of that epic movement of frenzied greedy people- the great Florida Boom'.
