This Hangman is part of two sets made and used by the Punch professor Edward Charles Webb of Stepney who usually performed his shows in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Hertfordshire. He had two sets of figures and booths because his son and his son-in-law both worked shows.

Physical description | Glove puppet of the Hangman with carved and painted face and hands, and astrakhan wool hair. He has painted eyes and wears a black wool fabric robe with black cotton sleeves trimmed with royal blue braid at the wrists. The gown is trimmed with strips of red and blue braid. |
