This child's blazer, made in the 1970s, was produced by a company called Beau Brummel Ltd in England. It is made of a blue blended wool material and features a grey check pattern and blue, pearlised buttons.

Child's blue and grey patterned blazer, made by Beau Brummel Ltd, England, in the 1970s
Physical description
Blue and grey checked blazer made from a wool blend with a black synthetic lining. The blazer had two outer pockets and one inner pocket located on the right hand side. It fastens using a single blue pearlised button, two more of which can be found on the cuffs for decorative purposes. There is a fabric loop at the back of the neck used to hang the blazer up.

This blazer was donated by Jackie and Norman Newton who opened a children's clothing boutique in Essex in th e eaely 1970s. The blazer was one of the items saved after the shop closed a few years later. The objects donated by the Newtons were often worn by their own children.
