These boy's trousers are made of thick orange fabric and were produced by the Wizard of Oz clothing company in the 1970s. They feature an elasicated waist and gathered ankles, and are secured by sets of buttons covered with the same fabric.

Physical description
Breeches-style trousers in thick, plain orange fabric made for a boy. The trousers have a half elasticated wasit with 3 buttons, of the same fabric, securing each side at the hip. They are gathered at the ankles and feature another securing button on the bottom of each leg. The trousers also have the original paper price tag attached to the bottom of the right leg.

Object history
These trousers were donated by Jackie and Norman Newton who opened a children's clothing boutique in Essex in the early 1970s. They were one of the items saved after the shop closed a few years later. The objects donated by the Newtons were often worn by their own children.
