The London Poster Project

Poster
2009 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

As part of the 2009 London Design Festival, Domenic Lippa at Pentagram worked with the Festival's Chairman, Sir John Sorrell in curating the London Poster Project. This exhibition was formed of twenty posters created by the UK's most renowned graphic designers. Each artist was asked to produce a poster that 'celebrates London as the creative capital of the world'. They were restricted to a palette of red and black and each silkscreened poster was produced in a limited edition of 100. The exhibition drew on the notion that the poster is one of the oldest and still one of the most powerful forms of graphic communication. The posters were displayed at the V&A during the London Design Festival in 2009.
