The unusual vegetable motif embroidered on this pair of traditional Chinese silk slippers was inspired by shoe designer, Denise Mengqi Huang's trips to the vegetable market. Based in Shanghai, Huang's slipper designs show nostalgia for a by-gone age but are brought up to date with her playful use of fabrics and inventive motifs.
