The continent of Africa is outlined with traditional patterns and motifs, similar in style to a wood or lino-cut, on a yellow background. There is a photographic half-length portrait of an African woman with large hooped earrings and an ornate necklace on the left, and a smaller image of a man playing a long drum on the right. Lettered across the drum is the text 'A G. L. C. Anti Racist Year Event', and across the bottom are the names of the two fund-raising bodies associated with the event's organisation.
