Mrs Barnes made her stage debut at Covent Garden Theatre as Alicia in Jane Shore on 22nd January 1872. She worked outside London for the next few years, returning to play the Old Nun in 'Tis Well It's No Worse at the Haymarket Theatre on 25th April 1785. She does not appear to have played Anne Bullen during any of her London seasons.

This print was published on the 24th June 1786 and appeared in Bell's Shakespeare volume XV.
