Physical description

Etching on copper, printed on paper, depicting Nathaniel Plimer, the miniaturist, in later years. Head and shoulders portrait, clean shaven with a blotched complexion and wearing a broad-brimmed hat. Third state impression, before letters, with added shading in the background, and an inscription below the sketch of the gallows. Signed by the artist.
