Berndt Friberg was known for his experiments with glazes, and this miniature vessel showcases techniques he was also using for full-size examples. Friberg worked for a number of Danish and Swedish ceramics factories, including Höganäs-Billesholms AB, and the Gustavsberg porcelain factory, Sweden. Collectables since their production, Friberg's miniature vessels, made for Gustavsberg during the 1960s, were exercises in stoneware glaze experimentation.
