Hair Switch

Hairpiece
1965 (Manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Sindy brunette 'Hair Switch'. The hair switch came in three colours, black, chestnut and blonde. The hair piece attached with a strip of red cotton, designed to look like an Alice band when fixed to the head. There is a small piece of velcro under the Alice band to keep it in place, and this is one of the earliest uses of velcro in a toy, and definitely the earliest use of velcro in Sindy.
