Barbara Nessim: An Artful Life (V&A, 2013; Bard Graduate Center Gallery, 2014-15) American Lives 1 1989 In 1987 Nessim began to create a series of artworks based on the flags of various countries. She used a Commodore Amiga computer to redraw images from her sketchbooks, then printed them using a Polaroid camera system. The individual images were then arranged to form each flag. 72 Polaroid prints, mounted on board Museum no. E.70-2013
