From the Coney Island in the Winter series
1963
This series of etchings of the Coney Island amusement park was commissioned by Gentleman magazine. Nessim explained that the fairground-style Superman Carrying Girl image is ‘about sexual stereotypes, about women being carried away to their dream life, home, family, security, by their very own “Superman”.’
