Merete Rasmussen's 'Red Twisted Form' is an immediately striking work by virtue of its bold red surface and ambitious scale. Common to many of her sculptures is the idea of the Mobius strip, a three-dimensional form that has a continuous surface, with one connected edge running throughout the whole form.

Merete Rasmussen (born 1974) ‘Red Twisted Form’ 2012 The even matt surface of Merete Rasmussen’s sculptures, each a single intense colour, allows the complexity of their forms to be revealed. Like many of her works, ‘Red Twisted Form’ explores the possibilities of the Möbius strip, a three-dimensional form with a single surface and one continuous edge that runs throughout the whole figure.
