Labels and date

Wang Xu was one of the first Chinese designers to explore the graphic potential of Chinese characters. In this pair of posters, he explains to us why Chinese design does not always need to employ words and images separately. The images of the tree fork and bird's claw can also be 'read', as they visually resemble the Chinese characters for these words. [2009]
