Gladys Perint Palmer’s fluid and often witty illustrations record the international haute couture fashion shows. Her fashion illustrations have featured in a wide range of major publications including The Sunday Times, The New York Times Magazine and Vogue. This illustration depicts a dress designed by Giorgio Armani and shown at the Palais de Chaillot, Paris, on the 7 July 2009.
Perint Palmer studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins School of Art, London, and specialised in fashion illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York. In 1987 she was appointed Fashion Editor of the San Francisco Examiner and she is currently Executive Director of Fashion at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
