‘Jiving at the Long Bar – Southend on Sea’
1974

Lear grew up in Britain during the rock’n’roll years of the 1950s. In the 1970s, rockabilly music and Teddy Boy fashions enjoyed renewed popularity. Lear produced a series of photographs that detail the Teddy Boy revival, mostly taken at popular seaside resorts. The result is a curious mixture of 1950s and 1970s style
