Augustus Kelham (born 14 November 1819, Bleasby, Nottinghamshire; died ?) and was active between the 1860s and 1880s. He lived in Eversley Park, Chester and photographed secular and ecclesiastical sites in Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. He published the book and commercially produced album Photographic Views of Seats in Cheshire, Shropshire, Flintshire and Denbighshire, which displays some forty views of mansions and their interiors in north east Wales and the borders. His photograph of Buildwas Abbey shows the ruin which is located along the banks of the River Severn in Shropshire. It compares with works by contemporaries such as Francis Bedford, or Francis Frith & Co., whose British landscapes photographs also dealt with traditional ‘Picturesque’ subject matter and popular tourist locations.
