This fashion design shows a woman wearing an olive green evening sheath dress, which is a close-fitting garment, and a pink jersey bolero, which is a shorter type of jacket, designed by Marjorie Field for the haute couture firm Field Rhoades which was registered in the London street directories at 77, South Audley Street, London W1 for the years 1948 to 1949. On the design, black lines and dots have been applied at the lower part of the bolero and over the border of the dress to show embroidery of beads and jewels. At top right, the designer noted, in pencil, the fabrics and colours out of which the dress was intended to be made and special features of the design including 'heavy bead and jewel embroidery in greens'.
