Back at home, still wearing Granny Elsie's hat, Clara is busy making hats for all her toys. Above her hangs a portrait of Granny Elsie who was a professional milliner. It is clear that Clara's passion for hats and her talent for making them connect her to the grandmother who died long before she was born.
