Costume designed by Claud Lovat Fraser for Laurent Novikoff for a Pas de deux which he danced with Tamara Karsavina at the London Coliseum July 1921.

According to annotations by Frazer’s wife Grace this design was the last drawing by Lovat before taken ill. Another annotation on the back by Mrs Bruce (Karsavina) states that the sample for the dress is from the costumier Alias & Miss Norman.

Physical description
This costume design depicts a male dancer, left leg and right hand missing. According to the designer's annotations the costume consists of a 'cherry velvet waistcoat' with 'false pockets', an 'ivory silk shirt open neck', 'black silk covered buttons', 'pink silk tights' and 'black practice shoes'. Sample of pink fabric pinned on top left hand corner. Drawn in black ink and watercolour on cream paper.
